Terms of Service

Forager is free, open-source software provided as is, with no uptime or accuracy guarantees.
You're responsible for your provider accounts: their terms, their billing settings and what you send them.
Access to fora.ger.llc's API requires an API key issued by its operator; it isn't an open public service yet.

1. The software

Forager's source code is licensed under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify and deploy it under that license. These terms cover using the Forager instance at fora.ger.llc and its website; a copy deployed by someone else is governed by that operator.

2. Access

The API at fora.ger.llc/v1 is available only to holders of an API key issued by its operator. Keep your key secret. Keys can be revoked at any time, including for misuse. A hosted service open to the public isn't available yet; joining the waitlist doesn't create an account or guarantee access.

3. AI providers

Forager forwards requests to third-party AI providers. Each provider's own terms, acceptable-use rules and privacy policy apply to what you send.
Use only provider accounts and API keys you're entitled to use. Creating multiple free accounts to multiply quotas usually violates providers' terms.
Free tiers, models and limits change without notice. Forager tries to stay inside free quotas and to stop using keys that report billing problems, but it can't see usage from outside Forager and can't guarantee you'll never be charged. Keep billing disabled on free-tier accounts, and check your providers' consoles.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Forager to break the law, to harm others, to generate spam or malware, to attack or overload providers or Cloudflare, or to get around a provider's limits or safety systems. AI output can be wrong; don't rely on it for decisions where mistakes could cause harm.

5. No warranty

Forager and fora.ger.llc are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the Forager maintainers aren't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost data, or charges from third-party providers arising from your use of Forager.

7. Changes and contact
